Felicia Events sat down with Kimberly Beck of Camelot Party Rentals
to talk about rentals, trends, and planning for outdoor events.
Felicia Events: Tell us a little bit about Camelot Party Rentals. What products and services do you offer?
Kimberly Beck: Camelot Party Rentals has been the party equipment provider for the region’s most memorable special events and weddings. We have the quality equipment and professional service to set the stage for almost any occasion imaginable. With the largest selection of tents, linen, tables, chairs, and wedding items in Reno, Lake Tahoe, and Northern Nevada.
FE: What sort of trends are you seeing for events in 2015?
KB: We are seeing a good mix of the rustic, western and casual, modern. Living in beautiful Northern Nevada/Northern California always sets an accent for the rustic, western theme very well; farm tables, benches, and wooden chairs with pops of wild flower colors. Then there is the more modern look with Lake Tahoe as a background; shades of white or ivory with pops of bold color, ghost chairs, and stemless glassware.
FE: What advice do you have for people planning outdoor events in the Reno/Tahoe area?
KB: Always plan for the unexpected. Weather can change in the snap of a finger so always have a back-up plan; a tent or a venue that has an indoor location while the weather passes.
FE: Do you have any products/services that are more popular than others?
KB: Our Farm Tables are the most popular products we carry. This season we have added a hand-crafted farm table to our inventory, Redwood Harvest Table. This is the largest table we carry, measuring 10’ long and 4’ wide, and seating 12-14 people.
FE: How far in advance should people book rentals?
KB: The sooner the better! As soon as you have a general idea of what you are looking for and how many guest will be attending we recommend you book. This gives you a better chance of getting exactly what you want, and all the counts you may need. You can always lower your counts once you get all your RSVP’s back.
FE: What advice do you have for people working on a budget?
KB: Prioritize the things you can’t live without at your wedding, the rest you can find ways around. If you absolutely can’t live without our farm tables, then you could order poly napkins instead of a specialty. Find the things you believe will make your day that much more special, and the things you won’t notice as much.
