Felicia Gantar, owner of Felicia's Events has been in the hospitality business for over 15 years. She resides in the Carson Valley/Lake Tahoe/Reno area. "This is my passion, I love doing events and weddings. Every wedding is a new canvas and when it's done it is a beautiful creation. Inspiration starts with each client."
Felicia graduated from Le Cordon Rouge Culinary School in Sausalito, California. Upon completion she then attended Hotel & Restaurant Management School in San Francisco. While attending the H&R program she was introduced to the real life of internship. She learned what multi-tasking meant thinking and moving fast. Felicia was honored to work with the best in San Francisco: The City Club of San Francisco, Villa Florence Hotel in Kuleto's Restaurant and Lakeview Club in Oakland.
Felicia's hobby is still cooking and entertaining her friends. As a matter a fact one of her friend's convinced her to teach cooking classes. The classes take place during the winter time in Genoa, which is the first settlement of Nevada. Felicia loves to travel and explore different cultures; she hopes one day to visit Victoria Falls in Africa. Felicia is also open to world traveling international/destination wedding coordination. Inspiration is always around the corner.
She is an active member of the Association of Bridal Consultants since 1999 representing Northern Nevada. Felicia was past president of Weddings of the West and has been a member for over ten years. She is a Charter Member and past president of Sierra Nevada Active 20-30 Club #730. She had recently joined Afwpi / Association for Wedding Professionals International. In 2008 she entered a table top contest in Reno, hosted by NACE/ National Association Catering Executives and won first place in the contemporary category and won overall for the show. She enjoyed the event so much that she had become a member of NACE.
Felicia is a very resourceful Event Designer & Wedding Planner. Her artistic abilities help with decorative ideas, suggestions on wedding formalities and creative menu planning. With Felicia's expertise, a wedding budget is planned with the specific needs of the bride and groom. She will plan the initial wedding budget, hire a team of professional vendors, provide a reasonable timeline of the wedding day, and makes sure all runs smooth on the extraordinary day.
Felicia books only one wedding per weekend, so you have her undivided attention. The bride and groom along with the family members are able to enjoy and relax the wedding day when you hire Felicia Events.
