Ceremony at High Camp/ Squaw Valley & Reception at Painted Rock Lodge, Truckee

Gail & Arlo coming from San Francisco wanted their guests to enjoy the great outdoors of the Sierra with elegance along with the rustic influence.  Gail was very involved with her wedding planning and truly put her flair and trade mark of her and Arlo’s personality into the wedding.  The vivid colors of the flowers gave the wedding a punch of gusty glamour that was designed by Julie owner of A Rose Is A Rose http://www.atahoerose.com . Julie had designed the whimsical willow arbor that was not obtrusive but added just enough to signify the bride and groom ceremonial area at High Camp in Squaw Valley. http://www.squaw.com/lake-tahoe-weddings  Along the inside of the aisle way the chairs were adorned by pine cones with ribbon colors that matched the flowers.  The guests were greeted with a glass of champagne and magical music played by the String Beings http://www.thestringbeings.com  The ceremony touched on the native American Indian spiritual meaning of marriage in Squaw Valley.  After the ceremony the guests descended down the cable car that had escorted them up to the ceremony area. The views from the cable car overlook Squaw Valley that is breathtaking all year round.  Resort at Squaw Creek transportation http://www.squawcreek.com shuttles waited for the guests to be escorted to the Painted Rock Lodge for the reception.   Entry to Painted Rock Lodge is a grand entrance made of large timbers that lead onto a bridge that crosses over the Truckee River. The Painted Rock Lodge is a 6500 square foot luxury rental home that is only minutes away from Tahoe City and is a hop skip away from Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadow Ski Resort. http://www.paintedrocklodge.com. The guests had the pleasure of perusing the property while enjoying passed hors d’oeuvres from Moody’s Bistro catering team. http://www.moodysbistro.com  The bar was set on the back patio that looked out to the Truckee River while the light echoes of the String Beings were playing.  The guests were invited to the dining area surrounded by towering pine trees and lingering smells of a menu to satisfy the palate by Moody’s Bistro. Tables and the elegant dish décor were rented by Classic Party rentals out of Sacramento. http://sacramento.classicpartyrentals.com  Gail & Arlo had cut into a customized mini wedding cake to do the traditional cake cutting and the guest had the pleasure of making customized dessert boxes to go from an array of choices made by Josef Vienna bakery in Reno. http://josefsvienna.com !  Laughter filled the air and contagious music was played by DJ-Matteo http://www.djmatteo.com from San Francisco that had the guests wanting to dance the night away!  Thanks to Gina Munda   http://www.ginamunda.com she truly captured the whole event and every detail that makes the story complete.

Lake Tahoe is a magical destination. Not only is this place wonderful for a wedding but it offers so much to your guests that it encompasses family and friends for a meaningful get away.  Adventure, history and breathtaking!
